Label your packaging

By labeling your packaging clearly, you are helping consumers to sort correctly. Recycling is easier when the recycling labels on packaging match the symbols at recycling stations and on indoor recycling bins.

All our recycling stations feature the pictograms from the Nordic labelling system and FTI logos. The aim of the recycling labels is that producers can use the same symbols on their packaging that consumers see on the recycling bins, which makes it easier for them to sort correctly.

A joint Nordic scheme

The recycling labels are part of a joint Nordic labelling system for all waste fractions. The system has been developed by the Swedish Waste Management Association, a professional waste management body, together with sister associations in Norway and Denmark, and with input from FTI and packaging producers.

Some adjustments have been made to align the system with Swedish conditions. Do you have packaging that is sold in several Nordic countries? There may be some differences in how the labels are used in each Nordic country.
